December is one of my favorite months of the year. There’s something about the bustle of gift getting, meal prepping, and decorating at the beginning of the month that leads to family time and savoring at the end. As 2017 comes to a close, it’s a great time to reflect on the year and dream about what 2018 could be.

Every year, I send my clients a goal setting worksheet and do one for myself, too. When I was competing on the elite level, I used both long-term and short-term goal setting all. the. time. When you and your team are super clear about what it is you’re going for, you feel more connected to what you’re doing and you’re much more likely to get the result you want.

Here’s the other thing: you’re 40% more likely to reach your goals when you write them down (yep, with a pen and paper). 40 percent! Writing down your goals is like giving yourself a huge, free gift of opportunity.

This year, I’m sharing the worksheet I send to my clients with all of you. I’d highly recommend printing it out and setting aside some quiet time to do it. With some dreaming and goal setting, 2018 can be your best year yet.
